Kevin English / Co-founder

Kevin is a true Renaissance man as Divinci was.  He has been a submarine officer, an engineer, a small business owner, a consultant, and educator.  He is a certified math teacher and has taught middle school, high school, and community college mathematics. Linda English / Co-founder

Currently, Linda is a Development and Marketing Manager for J BarJ Youth Services, which provides services to at-risk youth.  

Prior to J Bar J, Linda founded LINGOS (Learning For International NGOs), a nonprofit that delivered over 4000 online learning courses per quarter to 45 member agencies including Save the Children, World Vision, Oxfam, The Nature Conservancy, Habitat for Humanity, Care International, and Catholic Relief Services. 

As the Finalist for the Integral Fellow Award from the Microsoft Alumni Foundation, she was selected as one of 5 finalists out of 150 applicants for humanitarian work at LINGOs.  (See video):  Linda was also elected as a Thought Leader for the  Masie Center (a think tank for learning in the for-profit industry), where she was recognized for promoting the use of technology in global non-profits.

Prior to forming LINGOs, Linda was the eLearning Manager for Save the Children.  She also worked at Microsoft for 10 years in a variety of international technical education positions including International Program Manager, Channel Marketing Manager for the European offices, and Managing Editor for two major websites.    

She has a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology with an emphasis on artificial intelligence from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Technical Communications. 

Linda has also volunteered with e-Learning for Kids in partner development and in helping teach a robotics program for middle school students.   >>Resume

Jim Golden / Advisor / Superintendent of Sisters School District

Jim has 28 years of experience as a professional educator.  Currently he is the Superintendent of Sisters School District #6.  Prior to being a Superintendent, Jim worked at the High Desert Educational Service District as the Special Education Director and was the Principal at Crook County High School.  Jim has served on several state committees, is currently on the COSA executive council and is a partner in the Innovative Shared Services programs in Central Oregon.

Early in his career Jim helped develop one of the largest private non-profit high schools in Central Oregon. Jim has taught science, health, and special education.
